The Ullswater Suites At Whitbarrow offers an indoor swimming pool with a shallow end and pool with view, plus a hot tub/Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. A small but well-equipped fitness centre with fitness/spa locker rooms is available for guests. The steam room was previously reported as too hot but maintenance was being addressed, so check current status.
Accommodation
Each studio at The Ullswater Suites At Whitbarrow opens onto a patio and includes a TV, free WiFi, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower. The one-bedroom chalet and Fell View suites come with a full kitchen including a dishwasher, hob, microwave, and toaster, but no oven or grill. Rooms have a terrace or balcony overlooking fields or the Pennines, and some Fell View suites feature a balcony with views of the sunrise.
Dining
The on-site Eden Restaurant serves evening meals with a menu that includes fish and chips, roasts, and takeaway pizza from 2pm. Special diet menus are available, and the bar offers wine and champagne. Note that breakfast is not served; guests self-cater using the kitchen facilities.

The hotel sits on the edge of the Lake District National Park, 6 miles from Ullswater Lake and 7 miles from Penrith town with shops and a market on certain days. Grasmere village and William Wordsworth's Dove Cottage are a 35-minute drive by car. The village of Keswick and other northern and western lakes are easily accessible via car, as the property is in a rural area with no walkable amenities.
