“This inn, situated right by the town bridge, presents a rather traditional pub atmosphere in its common areas, but the recently refurbished rooms are a different story entirely - mine was spacious, airy, and comfortably appointed. I found the food, from the hearty evening burgers to the generous full English breakfast, to be notably well-prepared and satisfying, and the helpful manager made settling in a breeze. It's a place that clearly understands the value of good food, comfortable beds, and a friendly welcome, all contributing to a thoroughly positive stop.”
